To test the timing precision, 3 different scenarios were run.
3 pacers ran for 20 minutes
10 pacers ran for 30 minutes
10 pacers ran for 2 miles
Timestamps were recorded on the computer and the statistical results are tabulated below.
For 3 pacers, the results show < 5 ms lap error and < 100 ms standard deviation. For 10 pacers, the results show < 20 ms lap error and < 100 ms standard deviation. For 10 pacers, in a 2 mile, final paced time was within 100 ms of desired finish time. Raw Data
Our timing algorithm is designed to support multiple pacers in long sprints and distance events at centisecond lap precision; this is not intended for short sprints where millisecond precision is required. Timing improves with less pacers, as there is less computation.
3 Pacers, 20 minutes
10 Pacers, 30 minutes
10 Pacers, 2 miles
